Clients choose their stylist, and a time that is really free
When they book online they pick their services, then the stylist they want, or anyone if they are not fussy. They only see times that genuinely work for that person, so a cut and colour never lands on top of somebody's lunch or day off. It goes straight into the diary, and the client gets an email confirmation with a button to add it to their calendar.

Colour that needs time to process
A full head of foils is more than the time in the chair. Each service can have a gap after it for processing or clean-up, so the stylist stays busy and online booking leaves that time alone. If one client always takes longer, change the gap on that booking only. You can also add time before a service for mixing, which blocks the diary without the client ever seeing it.
Family bookings in one go
Saturday mornings are full of families. From the diary, add another person to the same booking. Each person gets their own services, their own stylist and their own time, so a parent can sit with one stylist at ten while the children are with another. They are linked in the diary and booked together.
Rebook before they reach the door
Most cut and colour clients come back every 6 to 8 weeks. At the desk, press Done & rebook and SalonFlow shows 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks on, at the same time with the same stylist. Free ones have a Book button, and taken ones offer the nearest free times that day. If a service has a usual return time, that choice is marked as due.
For clients who like a fixed slot, set a repeat booking anywhere from every week to every 12 weeks.
Notes the whole team can trust
Keep the colour formula, how they like their fringe and that sensitive scalp in staff-only notes. Notes belong to the client, so they show on every booking, and they are never sent to the client. Need to flag something? Tick alert and write one line, such as patch test before any colour. It pops up whenever their booking is opened.
Fewer empty chairs, less admin
Every client gets a reminder by text, email or both, sent from your salon's name in words you choose. Read how our salon text reminders work and what they cost.
Stylists sign in to the diary with a short PIN on the salon tablet and see their own day. Managers have a full login with a code texted to their phone.
